Pharmacokinetic (PK) study is to investigate ADME processes of drugs in the body by examining the time course of drug concentration profiles in readily accessible body fluids such as plasma and blood. A PK study is usually conducted via four steps, including drug dosing, sample collection, sample analysis, and PK calculation, as illustrated in the following scheme.
